This site publishes financial analysis built from public SEC filings. It is information, not advice. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell anything, the scores are our own arithmetic and our own opinion rather than fact, and you use all of it at your own risk.
What this site is
Bullish and Foolish reads company filings from the SEC's EDGAR system, standardizes the financial statements inside them, and runs a scoring engine over the result. It publishes those scores, the figures underneath them, and written analysis.
That is the whole product. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy.
What this site is not
It is not investment advice. We are not a registered investment adviser, a broker, or a financial planner in any jurisdiction. Nothing published here is personalized to your circumstances, because we know nothing about your circumstances.
A score is not a recommendation. "Strong Fundamentals" describes what a company's filings looked like when we last read them; it is not an instruction to buy. "Distressed / Caution" is not an instruction to sell.
Where the numbers come from, and how they can be wrong
Fundamental data comes from SEC EDGAR filings. Price data comes from NASDAQ. Both are third-party sources we do not control. Assume all of the following are in play:
- Filings arrive on the company's schedule. A figure here can be a quarter old or older, and it will not tell you that something changed yesterday.
- Companies restate. When they do, our stored figures stay wrong until the next ingest picks up the correction.
- Standardizing thousands of differently formatted filings involves judgment calls, and some of them will be wrong for a given company.
- Prices are refreshed manually and are not live. Do not treat any price on this site as current.
- The scoring rules are our own. They are published in full at the rulebook so you can judge them, and they change over time.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be available or that it will be free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or from any decision you make on the basis of anything published on it. That includes investment losses, lost profits, and any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Acceptable use
Read the site, use the screener, save a watchlist. That is what it is for.
Do not scrape it at a volume that degrades it for other people, attempt to bypass the rate limiting, republish the ratings or scores as your own, or use it to assemble a competing dataset. Requests are rate limited, and exceeding the limits gets you slowed down or blocked without notice.
The underlying SEC filing data is public and belongs to nobody. The scoring engine, the ratings it produces, the written analysis and the design of this site are ours.
Links to other sites
Pages here link out to original filings on sec.gov and to other third-party sources. Those pages are not ours, and we are not responsible for their content or their accuracy.
Availability
There is no uptime guarantee. This is a small site, the data refreshes are run by hand, and it can be unavailable or out of date without warning.
Cost
Bullish and Foolish is free to use. There are no paid plans, subscriptions or purchases today. If that changes, the terms covering them will be set out separately and this page will point to them before anything is charged.

Changes to these terms
These terms change when the site does. The date at the top is when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the version published at that time.
