Our Methodology
Transparency is the foundation of Fundamental Analysis. We strip away market sentiment to focus on what actually matters: the numbers.
Direct EDGAR Ingestion
We fetch data directly from the SEC's EDGAR database and parse 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings to build standardized financial statements. Updates follow the cadence of new filings and are cached for performance.
Sector-Aware Scoring
A Biotech company shouldn't be rated like a Retailer. Our engine applies custom benchmarks for Profitability, Growth, and Solvency based on the company's industry SIC code. We adjust for R&D intensity, inventory cycles, and capital structures.
Filing Text Analysis
Beyond the numbers, we scan filing text for signals such as going concern language, dilution risk, or auditor changes that basic ratios can miss.
The Bullish & Foolish Rating
Results are normalized into a 0-100 Quality Score and summarized into tiers like Strong Fundamentals, Mixed Data, and Distressed / Caution to make the takeaway instantly clear.

How I Became Financially Responsible
I didn't start out knowing how to invest - I learned it slowly, from people much smarter than me. These are the voices that helped me think clearly about money, risk, and long-term investing.
Investing Simplified - Professor G
Clear, patient lessons on investing fundamentals. His breakdowns helped me understand companies, not just tickers. He shares the reasoning behind his choices, which is the real value - not the picks themselves.
Damien Talks Money
Personal finance but made human - humour, storytelling, and episodes that flow end-to-end. Helped me see the "why" behind financial behaviour.
Caleb Hammer
Accountability in its rawest form. Watching people confront spending habits and debt problems made me reflect on my own decisions. Hard lessons that stick.
The Plain Bagel
Gave me the calm long-term view - risk literacy, fundamentals, thinking with patience instead of emotion. A grounding voice in a loud world.
